🚨 Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak met Business Secretary Jonathan Reynolds in Downing Street just 11 days before reports emerged of City’s guilty verdicts. Al Mubarak, acting as CEO of Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund Mubadala, discussed current and future UAE investment in Britain, as well as wider defence, security, intelligence and trade ties. The timing of the meeting is likely to bring further scrutiny of the UK government’s handling of the case, after Emirati officials warned that the severity of City’s punishment could impact future UAE investment in Britain.
